Day-by-Day Plan

1. 1

   Day 1: Arrival in Kochi

   Arrive in Kochi. Visit the historic Fort Kochi area — Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, and the Dutch Palace. Explore the vibrant Jew Town and Mattancherry. Overnight in Kochi.

2. 2

   Day 2: Kochi to Munnar

   Drive to Munnar through scenic Western Ghats. Stop at Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls. Arrive in Munnar by evening. Visit the tea museum and enjoy the cool mountain air.

3. 3

   Day 3: Munnar Sightseeing

   Full day exploring Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park (home to Nilgiri Tahr), Mattupetty Dam, Top Station viewpoint, and the photo point. Walk through endless tea gardens. Evening at local market.

4. 4

   Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady

   Drive to Thekkady (Periyar). Afternoon spice plantation tour — cardamom, pepper, cinnamon and vanilla. Visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary for a boat ride on the lake. Watch a Kalaripayattu martial arts show in the evening.

   Day 5: Thekkady to Alleppey

   Morning at leisure in Thekkady. Drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha) — the Venice of the East. Board the houseboat for an overnight backwater cruise. Enjoy freshly prepared Kerala cuisine on board while gliding through palm-fringed canals.

6. 6

   Day 6: Alleppey to Kovalam

   Disembark from houseboat after breakfast. Drive to Kovalam beach. Relax on the crescent-shaped beach, enjoy Ayurvedic massage (optional), and watch the sunset from the lighthouse. Overnight in Kovalam.

7. 7

   Day 7: Departure

   Morning visit to Trivandrum city — Padmanabhaswamy Temple and Napier Museum. Transfer to airport/railway station for departure. Tour concludes.
